Job summary

Almaviva Group in Belgium is seeking a results-driven Business Analyst to align strategic goals with stakeholder expectations. You will elicit, validate and document business needs using structured techniques to ensure clarity and traceability.

You will map processes, identify gaps, define BRDs and user stories with acceptance criteria, and support UAT. The role requires knowledge of BABOK, UML/BPMN and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of BABOK and IEEE 29148 techniques (user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria).
• Experience with modelling approaches (BPMN, UML) and diagramming tools.
• Familiarity with enterprise software development in large-scale information systems.
• Experience with requirements management tools (Jira, GitLab, Confluence).
• Ability to document non-functional requirements (NFRs) alongside functional ones.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate context, drivers, and outcomes to align with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Elicit, validate, and document business needs with structured techniques for clarity.
• Map and assess current/target business models, value streams, and capabilities.
• Analyze processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvements.
• Create visual workflow representations to support analysis and communication.
• Convert requirements into functional specs guiding design and development.
• Define acceptance criteria; support test design and UAT.
• Maintain traceability and manage change requests across the lifecycle.
• Document NFRs (performance, security, usability) with functional requirements.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication among stakeholders, developers, and testers.
