Job summary

Netcompany Belgium is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a diverse, Europe-focused tech environment. Qualifications

• University degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 12 years of professional experience in Business Analysis in complex organisations.
• Strong knowledge of BPMN, UML and modelling methods; proficient with diagramming tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business context, objectives, drivers and outcomes to align with goals.
• Elicit, validate, document and manage requirements with end-to-end traceability.
• Analyse current/target models, value streams and processes to identify gaps and improvements.
• Map and model processes and workflows to support analysis and design.

Are you ready to join the forefront of technology as a SeniorBusiness Analystin Netcompany?

As aSeniorBusiness Analyst you will:

• Analyse business context, objectives, drivers, and expected outcomes to ensure alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Elicit, validate, document, and manage business requirements, ensuring clarity, consistency, and end-to-end traceability.
• Analyse current and target business models, capabilities, value streams, and processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Map and model business processes and workflows using standard techniques to support analysis, communication, and solution design.
• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and clear acceptance criteria.
• Identify and assess business, process, system, and change-related risks, defining appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Support strategic documentation, solution validation, test case design, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure requirements are successfully delivered.
• Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, developers, testers, and project teams to ensure shared understanding, alignment, and effective delivery.

Qualifications

What would make you a fit for the role:

• University degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 12 years of professional experience in Business Analysis, with experience working independently in complex organisational environments.
• Strong understanding of business analysis and requirements engineering techniques, including user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, state diagrams, and entity-relationship models.
• Good knowledge of BPMN, UML, or equivalent business process and modelling methodologies, with experience using diagramming, modelling, and wireframing tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, Axure, Balsamiq, or Pencil.
• Experience with collaboration and documentation platforms such as Confluence and SharePoint.
• Good understanding of software development and governance methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, RUP, and ITIL.
• Experience with requirements management and backlog tools such as Jira or GitLab, including epics, user stories, and backlog management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills, with strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• A Business Analysis or Requirements Engineering certification such as CCBA, CBAP, IIBA-AAC, PMI-PBA, CBPP, CFLBA, or IREB CPRE is an advantage.
