Job summary

Netcompany Belgium is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to drive business analysis across European digital projects. You will elicit requirements, model processes, translate needs into specifications, and ensure alignment with strategic goals, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes end-to-end traceability, strong stakeholder management, and support for UAT and solution validation in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business, IT, CS, Engineering or related field.
• At least 12 years of BA experience in complex environments.
• Strong analysis, requirements engineering and stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with BPMN/UML and modelling tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Axure, Balsamiq).
• Experience with Jira or GitLab and backlog management.
• Excellent written/spoken English communication.
• BA/RE certification (CCBA, CBAP, PMI-PBA, IIBA-AAC, CBPP, IREB CPRE) is a plus.

As aSeniorBusiness Analystyou will:

• Analyse business context, objectives, drivers, and expected outcomes to ensure alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Elicit, validate, document, and manage business requirements, ensuring clarity, consistency, and end-to-end traceability.
• Analyse current and target business models, capabilities, value streams, and processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Map and model business processes and workflows using standard techniques to support analysis, communication, and solution design.
• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and clear acceptance criteria.
• Identify and assess business, process, system, and change-related risks, defining appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Support strategic documentation, solution validation, test case design, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure requirements are successfully delivered.
• Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, developers, testers, and project teams to ensure shared understanding, alignment, and effective delivery.

Qualifications

What would make you a fit for the role:

• University degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 12 years of professional experience in Business Analysis, with experience working independently in complex organisational environments.
• Strong understanding of business analysis and requirements engineering techniques, including user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, state diagrams, and entity-relationship models.
• Good knowledge of BPMN, UML, or equivalent business process and modelling methodologies, with experience using diagramming, modelling, and wireframing tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, Axure, Balsamiq, or Pencil.
• Experience with collaboration and documentation platforms such as Confluence and SharePoint.
• Good understanding of software development and governance methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, RUP, and ITIL.
• Experience with requirements management and backlog tools such as Jira or GitLab, including epics, user stories, and backlog management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills, with strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• A Business Analysis or Requirements Engineering certification such as CCBA, CBAP, IIBA-AAC, PMI-PBA, CBPP, CFLBA, or IREB CPRE is an advantage.
