Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Senior Ontologist to own the semantic foundation across Biologics Discovery. Design, build, test, publish, and govern ontology modules and vocabularies that connect antibody and protein data, enabling knowledge graphs, AI/ML, and advanced search.

You will collaborate with scientists, data engineers, and IT to ensure standards, provenance, and interoperability across the molecule lifecycle, aligning with enterprise governance and downstream

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Biomedical Informatics, computational biology, or related field.
• Experience in ontology engineering, knowledge modeling, or knowledge graphs.
• Experience with semantic standards and enterprise governance.

Responsabilités

• Design, release and govern ontology modules, vocabularies, and mappings across biologics discovery.
• Publish ontology packages as API-ready semantic assets for knowledge graphs and AI workflows.
• Collaborate with biologists and data scientists to translate complex concepts into computable models.
• Express concepts as OWL/RDF classes, SKOS vocabularies, SHACL constraints and reusable patterns.
• Enable entity linking, provenance capture and semantic search across biologics datasets.
• Align semantic standards with enterprise governance and support cross-functional teams.
