Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Senior Ontologist to own the semantic foundation across Biologics Discovery. You will design, publish, and govern ontology modules and mappings, enabling AI-ready data and interoperable workflows.

The role partners with biology, data science, and engineering teams to ensure durable, enterprise-aligned semantics. You will create structured ontology modules, align standards with CMC teams, and support knowledge graphs, data products, and AI

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required.
• 3+ years in ontology engineering, knowledge modeling, taxonomy design, semantic standards, or knowledge graph development.
• Hands-on experience with versioning, governance, and semantic quality checks.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, test, publish, and govern semantic models for knowledge graphs and AI/ML workflows.
• Collaborate with scientists and data teams to translate biology into computable semantic representations.
• Develop OWL/RDF classes, SKOS vocabularies, SHACL constraints, and reusable design patterns.
• Enable entity linking, provenance, and semantic search across biologics datasets.
• Align discovery semantics with enterprise governance and downstream development teams.
