i4m is seeking a senior data engineering expert to strengthen its BI environment. You will design, develop, and maintain a scalable data platform supporting reporting and decision‑making. You will also advise BI/ETL developers and contribute to platform quality and continuity.

You will work across on‑prem and cloud environments, building robust data pipelines, data marts, and schemas, while ensuring performance and documentation.

Competenze

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT processes.
• Implement data solutions in on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Support BI/ETL developers with complex challenges.
• Strong background in data warehousing and data integration.
• Dimensional modeling and star/snowflake techniques.
• Experience with data lakes and data quality practices.

Function

Our client is looking for a senior data engineering expert to strengthen its Business Intelligence environment. In this role, you will help design, develop, and maintain a reliable and scalable data platform that supports reporting, analysis, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will also play a key technical advisory role, supporting BI and ETL developers with complex challenges and contributing to the quality and continuity of the platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL and ELT processes.
• Integrate data from a wide range of internal and external sources.
• Build and optimize data warehouses and data marts.
• Develop dimensional data models using proven approaches such as Kimball.
• Implement data solutions in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Contribute to the further development and modernization of the BI platform.
• Monitor and improve performance, stability, and scalability of data solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Support ETL and BI developers with complex technical analysis and implementation challenges.
• Advise on the most suitable technical solution within existing architecture and development standards.
• Assist with performance issues, data integration challenges, and complex incidents.
• Help define and apply technical standards and best practices.
• Act as a technical point of contact for complex data-related questions.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in data warehousing, data engineering, and data integration.
• Hands-on knowledge of ETL and ELT processes.
• Experience with hybrid environments, combining on-premises and cloud technologies.
• Solid background in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Data Services and Microsoft Fabric.
• Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Experience with modern data architectures.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, including star and snowflake models.
• Experience with data lake solutions and data quality practices.
• Knowledge of Data Vault is a plus.
