Transport & Environment (T&E) in Brussels seeks a Senior Analyst to advance battery and industrial policy analysis across Europe. You will model battery components, assess policy options, and influence EU stakeholders through reports and briefings.

You will join the Trends and Analysis team, collaborating with the Sustainable Investments and Batteries teams to shape transport decarbonization policy and strengthen evidence-based advocacy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience on European batteries and/or Industrial Policy analysis and modelling.
• Experience with data analysis in spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel).
• Coding in Python or similar language; GenAI integration is a bonus.
• Excellent written and spoken English; other European languages are a bonus.

Responsabilités

• Take a leading role on analytical and research work on battery supply chain policy.
• Deliver modelling of European battery cells and components and support wider policy analysis.
• Write reports and policy briefs detailing impacts of policy options on EU battery industry.
• Present research findings internally and externally.
• Support analytical work in other programmes and national offices when needed.
• Review outputs to ensure high quality research, data, and argumentation.
• Provide input to policy and communication strategies.
