Transport & Environment in Brussels seeks a Senior Analyst to advance battery and industrial policy analysis, modelling, and evidence-based policy advice. The role supports EU battery strategies and the development of sustainability-focused transport policy across several initiatives.

The successful candidate will join the Trends and Analysis team, contributing to data-driven decision making and engagement with policymakers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in European batteries and/or industrial policy analysis/modelling
• Proficient with data analysis in spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel)
• Coding in Python or similar language; GenAI integration is a plus
• Excellent written and spoken English; other European languages are a bonus

Responsabilités

• Lead research on battery supply chain industrial strategy and policy
• Model European batteries cells and components; support wider policy analysis
• Write reports and policy briefings on EU battery industry impacts
• Present research findings internally and externally
• Support analytical work across programs and national offices
• Quality-assure models, data inputs and assumptions
• Contribute to policy and communications strategies
