Payflip is seeking a Software Engineer with 4+ years of backend and infrastructure experience to join our Payroll squad. The role emphasizes building a greenfield backend service and robust APIs, with frontend work welcomed but not the focus.

You’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and our CTO to deliver on an exciting product roadmap and own parts of the stack from design to production in a modern, multi-squad environment.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering skills with API design and data modeling.
• Experience integrating external APIs and handling async processing.
• Comfort with Windows Server environments and Terraform/Azure.
• Willingness and autonomy to learn new tech and contribute to engineering culture.

Responsabilités

• Design robust APIs and data models for payroll and backend services.
• Build reliable integrations with external systems and ensure idempotent syncing.
• Run parts of the stack on Windows Server in Azure and manage with Terraform.
• Collaborate with product team to ship maintainable, scalable features.
