Job summary
Amaris Consulting in Belgium seeks a Senior Automation Equipment Engineer to lead equipment engineering for major automation programs at a European Distribution Center. You will own design, delivery, installation, commissioning, and reliable operation from specs to handover to Operations, with on-site work 4 days a week in a hybrid setup.
The role covers robotics, packaging, conveyors, WCS, and integration with the existing sorter; international collaboration with OEMs and systems SMEs is
Qualifications
- 8+ years in automation or capital equipment engineering in packaging or material handling.
- Experience delivering from specs through FAT/SAT to handover.
- Fluent English and French; on-site 4 days/week in Belgium.
Responsibilities
- Own equipment engineering for 401 Automation and Automated Packaging from specs through handover to Operations.
- Define equipment specifications, capacity, layouts, utilities, and interfaces; review designs with SMEs and OEMs.
- Agree conveyor interfaces, machine handshakes, control signals, and fault-recovery logic for robots and packaging machines.
- Lead machinery risk reviews with EHS; coordinate FAT, SAT, installation, commissioning, defect resolution, and acceptance activities.
- Prepare maintenance plans, spare parts, operator training, and handover documents.
