Job summary

act digital is seeking a senior platform/DevOps engineer to build and operate a scalable container platform across environments. You will own security-focused networking, IaC pipelines, and observability while coordinating with architects to deliver a robust, compliant data and analytics platform.

Fluency in English is required; Dutch or French is a plus. The role emphasizes automation, cost management, and secure-by-design principles across multi-cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• Operating a container platform in production (Kubernetes or equivalent).
• Service mesh and traffic management concepts.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform or equivalent.
• Container fundamentals and packaging (Docker, Helm).
• Cloud platforms, AWS strongly preferred.
• Security and identity: OIDC and SAML federation, secrets management.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the platform's container runtime across environments: cluster lifecycle, node provisioning, autoscaling, upgrades, storage and cost.
• Own service-to-service networking and traffic management: ingress, mutual TLS, routing, policies for security and high availability.
• Design and maintain infrastructure as code that defines the platform, tests, and CI/CD pipeline per environment.
• Package and deploy platform components: model gateway, data stores, isolated runtime, DNS, certificates and secrets integrations.
• Implement identity and access end to end: workload identities, federation with corporate identity providers, token-based access for machines.
