Ardena is seeking an Accountant-Controller in Gent, Belgium to manage end-to-end accounting and provide analytical financial insights. You will report to the Finance Director of the Drug Product division and collaborate with local advisors on subsidies, taxation, audits, and budgeting.

The role requires 5–6 years of experience, fluency in Dutch and English, and strong Excel/ERP skills (Business Central a plus). Hybrid payroll and statutory filings are part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance or economics.
• 5–6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with analytical accounting in an international environment is a plus.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).

Responsabilités

• Own general and analytical accounting from A to Z.
• Be the primary financial contact for the business unit.
• Coordinate with external advisors on subsidies and taxation.
• Execute monthly and annual closings.
• Prepare annual accounts, tax and legal filings (VAT, Intrastat, statistics).
• Handle customer follow-up, supplier payments and payroll entries.
• Support the annual financial audit and budgeting processes.
• Maintain cash flow forecasts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Identify and implement process improvements with Corporate Finance.
