g2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Accountant to join the client’s finance team during a major transformation project. You will own the full accounting process, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance and smooth month-end/year-end closing in a hybrid Belgium setting.

The role requires 5+ years in senior accounting, strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP, IFRS, VAT, and hands-on experience with AP/AR/GL, month-end close, and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Senior Accounting or similar.
• Strong Belgian GAAP, IFRS and Belgian VAT/tax knowledge.
• Proven AP, AR and GL experience.
• Strong month-end/year-end closing experience.

Responsabilités

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including AP, AR and GL.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing.
• Manage reconciliations, VAT returns and Belgian tax compliance.
• Support statutory accounts, financial statements and audits.

Job Overview

The role will take ownership of the full accounting process, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance and smooth month-end/year-end closing. This is a hands-on position for someone who can hit the ground running.
