Kemin Industries – EMENA is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our HQ in Herentals, Belgium. You will lead month-end and year-end closing for multiple entities and support tax compliance and financial reporting.

Within the Finance EMENA team you will manage VAT/Intrastat, prepare annual accounts, assist audits, and contribute to budgeting and internal controls. This role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and fluent English and Dutch; you are a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations and financial statements
• Understanding of tax and corporate tax
• Reliable team player with attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Office; Infor M3 a plus
• Fluent in English and Dutch

Responsibilities

• Monthly and year-end closing procedures for several Kemin entities
• Support in tax compliance including transfer pricing and local/master file
• Prepare Corporate Income Tax declarations
• Prepare VAT & Intrastat listings for VAT declarations
• Assist with correspondence from tax authorities and audits
• Prepare and manage Annual Accounts deposit
• Document workers council and internal control processes
• Support budget preparations and internal controls procedures
• Support audit activities by providing information for internal and external audits

Responsibilities

As Senior accountant you will become part of our Finance team EMENA. You will have a variety of responsibilities such as:

• Responsible for the monthly and year end closing procedures for several Kemin companies and affiliates
• Offer support in the preparation for tax compliancy matters ex. transfer pricing documentations and Local/ Master file.
• Conducting the declaration of Corporate Income tax
• Preparation of VAT & Intrastat listings in view of the VAT declarations
• Assist with correspondence from taxing authorities regarding, assessments, tax notices, audits requests, and other related issues.
• Preparation and management of the Annual Accounts deposit
• Managing and preparing documentation for the workers council
• Offer support in budget preparations and with internal control processes & procedures
• Support the audit activities by preparing the information requirements for internal and external audits

What we expect of you

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in accountancy or relevant by experience
• 3-5 years relevant experience in a similar role
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, policies and procedures as they relate to financial statements
• Understanding of tax and corporate tax
• Hands on team player
• Accurate, punctual and flexible person
• Able to work with and towards deadlines
• Very strong knowledge of MS office package, knowledge of Infor M3 is a plus
• Fluent English and Dutch
