Job summary

TriFinance Belgium is assisting a client in Charleroi in finding a Senior Accountant to join a small team of two Senior Accountants. You will manage day-to-day accounting for several affiliates in collaboration with the controller.

You will drive process improvements, ensure VAT and statutory declarations, and contribute to audits and consolidation. Fluency in French and English is required, with 3–5 years of accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting.
• Fluent in French and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations: purchase-to-pay, payroll bookings, credit card transactions and employee expense reports.
• Follow up on financial operations, including bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT, Intrastat and Intracom declarations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual closings, and statutory annual accounts.
• Support the annual audit and contribute to consolidation activities.
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, building controls, standardising workflows and digitalising tools.
