Vivid Resourcing is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a freelance/contract role in Brussels. The successful candidate will own core accounting activities, reporting, and financial processes, working autonomously.

Responsibilities include month-end close, management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting support, statutory reporting, and collaboration with external accountants. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication are essential for success.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support a growing business on a freelance/contract basis.

The ideal person will be confident working independently and comfortable taking ownership of core accounting activities, reporting and financial processes.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Managing month-end and year-end accounting processes
• Preparing management accounts and financial reports
• Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger management
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
• VAT and other statutory reporting
• Working with external accountants/auditors where required
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls
• Providing general commercial and financial support to the business

About you:

• Strong experience in a senior accounting role
• Comfortable working autonomously on a freelance/contract basis
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Commercially minded with excellent communication skills
• Experience with accounting systems and Excel/Google Sheets
