Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics in Antwerp is seeking a Freight Forwarder Import Sea to manage import shipments by sea from origin to final destination, handling documentation, customs clearance and delivery.

You will be the primary contact for customers, coordinating progress, negotiating carrier rates, and ensuring on-time, compliant shipments. Requires at least 2 years in Seafreight and fluent Dutch and English; willingness to learn new software.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in Freight Forwarding (Seafreight).
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English.
• Fluent in learning new computer programs.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end management of import shipments by sea, including organizing transportation, documentation, customs clearance and delivery.
• Serve as primary point of contact for customers, updating on shipment progress and resolving issues with excellent service.
• Select suitable carriers, negotiate rates and terms, and arrange transportation from origin to final destination.
