Smile Brussels is seeking a Scrum Master to maximize team efficiency and ensure smooth delivery of open-source projects. Based at our Brussels agency, you will coach development teams and the Product Owner in applying Scrum and Agile principles, facilitating ceremonies, removing blockers, and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements include a higher education degree in IT, 3+ years as Scrum Master in web/software environments, a PSM I/II or CSM certification, and proficiency with

• 3 years of proven experience as a Scrum Master empowering technical teams.
• Certified Scrum Master (PSM I/II or CSM).
• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Kanban or SAFe a plus).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsabilités

• Coach and support the development team and the Product Owner in fully understanding and applying Scrum and Agile principles.
• Facilitate all Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective) with dynamism and efficiency.

Your profile

With a higher education degree in IT or a related field, you have at least 3 years of proven experience as a Scrum Master empowering technical teams, ideally within web or software development environments.

• You hold a recognized Scrum Master Certification (such as PSM I/II or CSM) and possess a deep understanding of Agile frameworks (knowledge of Kanban or SAFe is a plus).
• You are perfectly at ease with agile project management and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Endowed with excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills, you know how to unite a team and adapt your discourse to various technical and business stakeholders.
• Your natural leadership, empathy, and problem-solving mindset make you a true servant‑leader for your team.
• Fluency in English and French (or Dutch) is a major asset to collaborate effectively within our international and Brussels context.
