Asenium Consulting in Brussels is seeking a Scrum Master with about 5 years of experience to lead an Agile project on a one-year contract. The role requires facilitating Scrum ceremonies, coaching the team, and ensuring value delivery.

This position offers a hybrid work model (50% on-site, 50% remote) starting as soon as possible, with a focus on removing impediments, improving velocity, and fostering collaboration with Product Owners and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of Agile methodologies and techniques, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience with Agile reporting and tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Understanding of automated testing and CI tooling.
• Good knowledge of software development and project management frameworks.

Responsabilités

• Set up and facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Schedule and monitor key stages of the Agile process.
• Ensure proper Scrum practice and help the team overcome obstacles.
• Support the Product Owner with backlog management.
• Support the team in delivering the Definition of Done and Sprint Backlog.
• Track team capacity and velocity for planning and progress.
• Coach and challenge the project team; promote self-organization.
• Remove barriers and protect the team from external distractions.
• Promote Agile methods across the organisation and report on Scrum implementation.
• Manage risks and issues; coach stakeholders on effective collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Schedule and monitor the key stages of the methodology.
• Ensure the proper application of the Scrum methodology and help the project team overcome obstacles.
• Support the Product Owner with Product Backlog management.
• Support the team in delivering the Definition of Done and Sprint Backlog.
• Track team capacity and velocity for planning and progress monitoring.
• Coach and challenge the project team.
• Promote the team’s gradual self-organisation.
• Remove barriers to team effectiveness and protect the team from external distractions.
• Promote Agile methods across the organisation.
• Report on the proper implementation of the Scrum methodology within projects.
• Manage risks and issues.
• Coach business lines and stakeholders on effective collaboration with the team.
