Pauwels Consulting seeks a motivated professional to join a leading pharmaceutical company’s advanced analytical characterization team in Belgium. The role focuses on developing MRI-based imaging solutions for active pharmaceutical ingredients and complex drug delivery systems.

You will design MRI methods, integrate with CT workflows, and interpret imaging data to support formulation and process development under GMP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with pre-clinical MRI instrumentation.
• Experience interpreting imaging and spectroscopic data for technical insights.
• Knowledge of organic chemistry.
• Fluent in English.
• Proactive and creative professional with scientific curiosity.

Responsabilités

• Develop and validate MRI methods for pharmaceutical materials, formulations, and dosage forms.
• Establish imaging workflows complementary to CT scan analysis for water ingress and hydration kinetics.
• Assess coating integrity, permeability, and delayed-release behavior of capsules and tablets.
• Visualize device functionality for drug-delivery systems including internal movement and fluid distribution.
• Monitor sedimentation and resuspendability of suspensions and dispersed systems.
• Translate imaging data into actionable insights for formulation and process development teams.
• Maintain a safe laboratory environment in compliance with GMP and health regulations.
