Arcadis seeks a Scientist MRI to join its advanced analytical characterization team in pharma R&D. In this laboratory-based role you will develop and apply MRI methodologies to support pharmaceutical product development, formulation research, and drug-delivery technologies.

You will work with cross-functional teams to generate insights into material behavior using MRI and NMR, translate data into actionable results, ensure safety and GMP compliance, and contribute to SOPs and internal standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on MRI experience with pharmaceutical materials.
• Experience interpreting imaging and spectroscopic data for diverse stakeholders.
• Background with analytical instrumentation and scientific problem solving.
• Affinity with drug-delivery systems research.

Responsabilités

• Develop, optimize, and validate MRI methods for pharmaceutical materials.
• Establish MRI workflows that complement CT-based characterization techniques.
• Investigate water ingress and hydration kinetics in tablets, capsules, gels, and complex formulations.
• Evaluate coating performance and capsule functionality, including integrity and release behavior.
• Support the characterization of drug-delivery devices through non-destructive imaging.
• Study sedimentation, phase separation, and resuspendability of suspensions.
• Translate imaging data into actionable scientific insights for formulation development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across formulation, analytics, materials, and product testing.
• Contribute to internal SOPs and data interpretation frameworks for MRI-based characterization.
• Perform basic solid-state NMR experiments where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, quality, regulatory, and GMP requirements.
