Dekimo Experts in Belgium seeks a Satellite Software Architect to define and own the software architecture across satellite platforms, from flight software to unit-level firmware in radios, cameras, and sensors. You will bridge cross-functional teams including Embedded Software, EE and FPGA engineers, ensuring architecture aligns with platform-wide standards.

In this role you will drive architectural trade-offs, participate in design reviews, and help shape the roadmap by translating in-orbit

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in CS/EE/Aerospace or related field.
• Strong embedded software development with C and Python.
• Experience designing architectures for complex multi-component embedded systems.
• Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS) and Linux-based embedded environments.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and communicate architectural decisions to multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent English; able to work cross-functionally.
• Proven ability to drive designs to completion with autonomy.

Responsabilités

• Define end-to-end satellite software architecture across flight software and unit-level embedded software.
• Collaborate with Embedded Software, EE and FPGA engineers to translate requirements into solid designs.
• Establish software design standards and reusable building blocks.
• Interact with system/avionics engineers to derive software requirements and ensure traceability.
• Drive architectural reviews (PDR/CDR) and support integration, V&V, and operations.
