Movu Robotics zoekt een Embedded Software Engineer om mee te bouwen aan de software die onze robotische systemen aandrijft. Je werkt samen met een team van 7 collega’s en herwerkt onze huidige software naar een nieuw platform, met focus op betrouwbaarheid en performance.

Je codeert in C/C++ (of Rust) en werkt aan modelgebaseerde ontwerparchitecturen, test en documentatie. Reizen binnen België en vrijwilligerswerking vormen onderdeel van de rol.

Formación

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in industrial engineering or software engineering.
• Strong experience in C/C++ and ROS2.
• Hands-on experience with ROS2.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink is a nice-to-have.
• Genuine R&D mindset with curiosity to explore and improve.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to rewrite van onze robotics applicatie software op een nieuw platform.
• Optimaliseren, uitbreiden en onderhouden van ons embedded software landschap.
• Code in C/C++ of Rust.
• Toepassen van robotics-ervaring voor nieuwe architecturen met focus op Model Based Design.
• Analyseren, testen en debuggen van software voor betrouwbaarheid en prestaties.
• Training en ondersteuning van eindgebruikers, voornamelijk in België met af en toe reizen.
• Duidelijke en grondige documentatie bijhouden ter ondersteuning van team en ontwikkeling.

As an Embedded Software Developer at Movu Robotics, you'll help shape the software that powers our robotic systems — and you won't be doing it alone. You'll join a team of 7 enthusiastic colleagues, working in close collaboration with R&D engineers from electrical and mechanical backgrounds, on the rewrite of our current robotics application software onto a new platform.

Your responsibilities:

• Contribute to the rewrite of our robotics application software onto a new platform
• Optimise, expand, and maintain our embedded software landscape
• Code in C/C++ or Rust
• Apply your robotics experience to contribute to a new architectures, with a focus on Model Based Design
• Analyse, test, and debug software to ensure reliability and performance
• Train and support end users, primarily in Belgium with occasional travel abroad
• Maintain clear, thorough documentation to support the team and future development

Functie-eisen

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in industrial engineering or software engineering
• Strong experience in C/C++; ambition to grow into Rust is a plus
• Hands‑on experience with ROS2
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink is a nice‑to‑have
• A genuine R&D mindset, with curiosity to explore and improve
• Result‑driven, with a good sense of humour and a strong team spirit
• Stress‑resistant, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative
