Job summary

EUROPEAN DYNAMICS Group seeks a Data Architect to work remotely with a major client’s IT team on site. The role focuses on data strategy, architecture and governance, with collaboration across business leaders, engineers and data scientists to deliver scalable data solutions.

The candidate should have a university IT degree, 12+ years of experience, strong data modelling skills and hands-on expertise with cloud data platforms such as Azure Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake or Redshift.

Qualifications

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience.
• At least 2 years in enterprise data architecture and platform assessment.
• Hands-on with enterprise relational databases/DWH and SQL.
• Experience with ETL/ELT and data integration tools.
• Experience with data modelling (3NF, Data Vault, star/snowflake).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization’s data strategy and architecture.
• Translate requirements into scalable data architecture, models and specs.
• Design and manage data models, metadata, lineage and catalogs.
• Architect and integrate batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Enforce governance, quality, security, privacy and regulatory standards.
• Design and deploy scalable cloud/hybrid data platforms.
• Implement profiling, validation, cleansing and lifecycle management.
• Monitor and optimize data platforms and pipelines.
• Collaborate with leaders, engineers and data scientists.
• Lead architecture initiatives and mentor teams.
• Evaluate emerging data and cloud technologies.
