Job summary

Black Pen Recruitment is seeking a Solution Architect to work remotely within the EU, integrated with the development team and in collaboration with a major client’s IT team.

The ideal candidate has a university IT degree, 10+ years in IT, and strong expertise in architecture across software, cloud and data projects, with hands-on modelling tools like Sparx EA. Fluency in English is required, and EU security clearance is noted.

Qualifications

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline with extensive IT experience.
• Minimum 10 years of IT experience, including 5+ years as technology or applications architect.
• Experience with on-premise, virtualization, cloud IaaS/PaaS/SaaS and agile environments.
• Proficient in TOGAF and architecture modelling/tools.

Responsibilities

• Interpret detailed business requirements and translate them into architecture solutions.
• Develop and customize architecture diagrams and artefacts per client standards.
• Design conceptual architecture models and identify reusable components.
• Develop, test and deploy artifacts (reports, scripts, diagrams) per requirements.
• Assess interdependencies and advise on governance and configurations for effective use.
