EngiFlex BV is seeking a Project Manager for regulatory initiatives in the life insurance sector. You will lead cross-functional programs aligning products, processes and IT with evolving Solvency II, IDD, ESG and AML requirements.

You will coordinate business, compliance, legal, actuarial and IT teams to deliver compliant, customer-focused solutions while managing timelines and budgets. Proficiency in French and English is expected; Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project or product management within life insurance or financial services.
• Strong track record delivering regulatory or distribution-related projects on time and within budget.
• Solid knowledge of life insurance products and Belgian/EU regulatory frameworks (FSMA, NBB, Solvency II, IDD).

Mission description

As Project Manager for regulatory initiatives, you lead cross-functional projects that help life insurance products, systems and processes remain aligned with evolving regulatory requirements such as Solvency II, IDD, ESG and AML.

You act as the link between business, compliance, legal, actuarial and IT teams to deliver compliant, efficient and customer-focused solutions.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of regulatory projects in a life insurance environment, from scoping through implementation.
• Define project plans, timelines, budgets and resource needs.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders across business, legal, compliance, actuarial and IT.
• Translate regulatory requirements into actionable business and technical requirements.
• Perform regulatory impact assessments on products, processes and systems, and define appropriate mitigation actions.
• Develop implementation roadmaps and monitor execution against key milestones.
• Work with product owners to adapt life insurance offerings in line with new regulations.
• Ensure customer journeys, documentation and disclosures comply with applicable standards, including product oversight and governance guidelines.
• Align with compliance and risk teams to validate scope, priorities and deliverables.
• Track regulatory deadlines and ensure required changes are delivered on time.
• Prepare dashboards, risk logs, stakeholder reporting and post-implementation reviews.
• Provide updates to senior management and, where relevant, support documentation for audits, inspections and governance committees.

Your profile

• Proven experience in project or product management within life insurance or financial services.
• Strong track record in successfully delivering regulatory or commercial/distribution-related projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of life insurance products and Belgian/EU regulatory frameworks such as FSMA, NBB, Solvency II and IDD.
• Expertise in regulatory impact analysis and in translating regulation into practical business and technical solutions.
• Solid end-to-end project management skills with a clear delivery focus.
• Strong cross-functional stakeholder management and change leadership capabilities.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall ways of working.
• Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Able to influence change across departments and perform effectively in a complex regulatory environment.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
• Quality- and client-oriented, quick to learn and able to work with tight deadlines.
• Fluent in French, professional proficiency in English, and Dutch is a plus.
