Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Certification & Regulatory Compliance Engineer in Belgium to drive certification strategies and liaise with external regulatory bodies. You will prepare documentation, support audits, and ensure alignment with safety and quality standards across projects.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to address regulatory changes and improve compliance processes, delivering robust evidence for market access and deployment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in certification, compliance, systems engineering, validation, quality assurance, or safety engineering within a regulated industry.
• Experience interacting with external certification bodies.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance processes.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute certification and regulatory compliance strategies.
• Coordinate relationships with external assessment, certification, and regulatory bodies.
• Prepare, review, and maintain certification plans, compliance documentation, and technical evidence.
• Support internal and external audits, assessments, and approval activities.
• Track and drive the resolution of certification findings, non-conformities, and compliance gaps.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Safety, Validation, and Project Management teams to ensure compliance requirements are properly addressed.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on projects and processes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance, certification, and quality processes.
