Elia Group, a leading Belgian energy transmission operator, seeks a Real Time EMS & SCADA Engineer to oversee IT projects for EMS/SCADA systems and support real-time operations within the energy market. You will collaborate with teams across Elia Belgium and 50Hertz, driving upgrades and ensuring reliable, secure operations.

You will work on a mix of real-time IT tools, project coordination, and end-user support.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in IT and/or electricity.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with real-time contexts in energy (SCADA/EMS).
• Experience with real-time protocols and standards (ICCP, IEC104, CGMES).
• Strong communication with developers and operators; team player.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a functional and technical expert for SCADA and EMS solutions.
• Collaborate with business to set project priorities and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with IT projects to manage scheduling and dependencies.
• Test requirements from the business before approval and translate specifications into functional designs (.NET).
• Interact with internal/external developers and monitor software projects.
• Validate quality management strategy and oversee releases during rollout.
• Support end users (second line) and maintain developed solutions.
• Organise and prioritise maintenance of developed solutions.
