Imec, located at Leuven, Belgium, seeks an R&D Team Leader in Dry Etch Process Development to head a team delivering next‑generation plasma etch solutions for logic, memory, 3D integration and emerging semiconductor applications.

You will lead multidisciplinary engineers, define priorities, and drive milestone delivery while enabling technology roadmap progress and safe, inclusive fab operations. The role emphasizes technical excellence and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.

Responsabilités

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of R&D engineers and researchers, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
• Define team priorities and allocate resources in alignment with program needs and roadmaps.
• Drive development of advanced dielectric etch processes for patterning applications and integration.
• Solve complex plasma-material interaction challenges across oxide, nitride, low-k and high-k dielectrics.
• Collaborate with integration, lithography, metrology, CMP, deposition and device teams for module delivery.
