Job summary

Chevron Corp. in Belgium (Ghent) seeks a Laboratory Analyst to perform analytical testing on materials for lubricant production and to interpret results in the QM/MII Fiori system. You will prepare shipment documents, manage SAP/MII operations, calibrate equipment, and maintain lab records.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in laboratory technology and 2 years’ lab experience, plus fluency in Dutch and English. 2 shifts, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in laboratory technology or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in a lab environment.
• Willing to learn dispatch/ weighbridge document handling.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Proactive, responsible and highly organized.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Capable of meeting deadlines under pressure.
• Good problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates and finished products.
• Interpret results and input data into QM/MII Fiori system.
• Calculate corrections and prepare shipping documents (CMR, COA, ADR).
• Record data on shipments for filing and demurrage claims.
• Plan loading of bulk and packed goods and coordinate with hauliers.
• Maintain lab equipment and liaise with suppliers and technicians.
• Calibrate standards and perform regular maintenance.
• Ensure lab stock levels and provide statistical data for quality systems.
