Job summary

Chevron Corporation in Belgium is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates and finished lubricants for Chevron production. You will interpret results, input data into QM/MII fiori, and prepare shipping documents such as CMR, COA, and loading slips.

The role requires a professional bachelor's degree in laboratory technology or chemistry, at least 2 years in a lab, fluency in Dutch and English, and strong analytical and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum study level: professional bachelor's in laboratory technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a laboratory environment.
• Willing to learn dispatch/weighbridge activities with driver documents.
• Fluent Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Proactive, responsible and technically organized.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Highly organized and team oriented.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Experience with Excel and Word is a plus.
• Experience with ASTM methods is a plus.
• Experience with laboratory quality audits is a plus.
• Experience with dispatch documents like CMR, COA and loading slips is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products for Chevron lubricant production.
• Interpreting results and inputting data into the lab QM/MII fiori system.
• Calculating corrections and preparing shipping documents (CMR, COA, loading slips, ADR, etc.).
• Recording shipment data for filing and demurrage, planning loads, and coordinating with hauliers.
• Archiving files of finished products and raw materials.
• SAP/MII operations: printing delivery notes and booking raw materials in SAP.
• Maintaining lab equipment and coordinating with suppliers/technicians; conducting calibrations.
• Monitoring stock levels of testing equipment and lab consumables; providing statistical data for toll processing.
• Calculating production batch corrections and advising production on adjustments.
• Storing test samples under contractual agreements and customer requests.
• Preparing sample shipments and interpreting SQC results with recommendations.
