IMEC in Leuven, Belgium, is seeking a lithography track expert to advise partners on tool usage and process improvements. The role focuses on maintaining process stability for advanced nodes and serving as the central contact for track-related topics, collaborating with tool suppliers and IMEC groups.

You will lead R&D for spin-on photoresists and underlayers, drive Joint Development Projects with suppliers, and develop solutions using advanced knowledge.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant science/engineering field.
• Strong background in lithography and photoresist processes.
• Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment.

Responsabilités

• Act as central contact for track process and hardware topics, coordinating with suppliers and IMEC groups.

• Develop solutions using formal education, statistics, and in-house tools.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Identify IP opportunities, file disclosures, present at conferences, and write journal articles.

What you will do

• You will be the lithography track expert within the department. Within this responsibility:
  • You will advise all imec internal and external partners in their usage of the tool. You propose best-known methods (BKM) and work effectively with material and equipment suppliers to identify issues, propose and evaluate material and process modification to meet needs and goals.
  • You closely follow up on the performance of the tracks. Ensure process stability for the most advanced nodes.
  • You will figure as a central point of contact, for all track process and hardware related topics. Which requires to collaborate with the track tool supplier, the imec FAB hardware- and process group and imec Litho development groups.
• You will facilitate R&D activities for spin-on photoresists and underlayers in collaboration with imec’s patterning material suppliers.
• You will own and drive Joint Development Projects (JDP’s) with various material and equipment suppliers to support the Advanced Patterning Process Program needs.
• You will develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and in-house tools.
• You will travel domestically and/or internationally, as necessary to support job responsibilities.
• You will identify potential intellectual properties (IP) opportunities, file disclosures, give presentations at conferences, and write the articles for scientific and technical journals.

Who you are

• You have a PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Physical Chemistry or Material engineering or equivalent by experience.
• You have knowledge of and experience in lithography and photoresist.
• You are hands-on and willing to work in the cleanroom on a regular basis.
• You have outstanding communication skills to work successfully in an international dynamic team environment.
• You have good networking skills.
