imec is seeking an R&D Engineer Lithography Tracks in Leuven, Belgium. You will join the Litho Track & process team within the Advanced Patterning department, driving R&D in the lithography domain and advising partners on tool usage and best-known methods.

You will lead track performance, collaborate with suppliers, drive Joint Development Projects, travel as needed, and contribute to IP generation and dissemination through publications and conferences.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Physical Chemistry or Materials engineering.
• Knowledge of lithography and photoresist.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the lithography track expert within the department; advise internal and external partners on tool usage and best-known methods.
• Monitor track performance and ensure process stability for advanced nodes.
• Act as a central contact for track process and hardware topics; collaborate with supplier and internal groups.
• Facilitate R&D activities for spin-on photoresists and underlayers with patterning materials suppliers.
• Own and drive Joint Development Projects (JDPs) with material and equipment suppliers to support the Advanced Patterning Process Program.
• Develop solutions using formal education, statistical knowledge, and in-house tools.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed to fulfill responsibilities.
• Identify potential IP opportunities, file disclosures, present at conferences, and write articles for journals.

R&D Engineer Lithography Tracks

What you will do

You will be a member of the Litho Track & process team, part of the Advanced Patterning department, responsible for research and development in the lithography domain.

• You will be the lithography track expert within the department. Within this responsibility:
  
  • You will advise all imec internal and external partners in their usage of the tool. You propose best-known methods (BKM) and work effectively with material and equipment suppliers to identify issues, propose and evaluate material and process modification to meet needs and goals.
  • You closely follow up on the performance of the tracks. Ensure process stability for the most advanced nodes.
  • You will figure as a central point of contact, for all track process and hardware related topics. Which requires to collaborate with the track tool supplier, the imec FAB hardware- and process group and imec Litho development groups.
• You will facilitate R&D activities for spin-on photoresists and underlayers in collaboration with imec’s patterning material suppliers.
• You will own and drive Joint Development Projects (JDP’s) with various material and equipment suppliers to support the Advanced Patterning Process Program needs.
• You will develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and in-house tools.
• You will travel domestically and/or internationally, as necessary to support job responsibilities.
• You will identify potential intellectual properties (IP) opportunities, file disclosures, give presentations at conferences, and write the articles for scientific and technical journals.

• You have a PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Physical Chemistry or Material engineering or equivalent by experience.
• You have knowledge of and experience in lithography and photoresist.
