Imec in Leuven, Belgium, is seeking an Electroplating R&D Engineer to strengthen its advanced nano-interconnect programs. You will contribute to the deposition of metals and alloys, perform physico-chemical and electrical characterizations, and validate results with state-of-the-art equipment.

You will collaborate with researchers, hardware engineers and industry partners in a dynamic, international team, translating inquiries into robust development work and technology transfers within imec’s

Qualifications

• Ph.D or Master in Chemistry, Materials Science or Engineering
• Capable to work independently with a focus on quality
• Actively participate in cross-functional teams
• Good in-person and written communication in a multicultural environment
• Team-player with networking skills
• Flexible attitude towards tasks due to interaction with programs and customers
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)

Responsabilités

• Design, conduct and analyze experiments and experimental results.
• Perform post-plating characterization, interpret and report on the results.
• Perform and coordinate non-standard development work in IMEC’s fab together with fab process engineers and the pilot line.
• Actively contribute to technology transfers, research programs and joint development programs with external partners.
• Interface with integration engineers and imec partner companies.
• Take in questions and requests from customers, and actively follow up.
• Collect information from your peers, summarize and transfer to the partner companies.
• Report about your work to internal and external partners.
