imec, based in Leuven, Belgium, invites applications for an Electroplating R&D engineer to strengthen nano-interconnect advancements for quantum computing and 3D-stacked ICs.

You will design and run experiments, characterize deposits, and collaborate with hardware, process, and external partners in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in Chemistry, Materials Science, or Engineering.
• Experience in electroplating is an asset.
• Ability to work independently with a focus on quality.
• Willing to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills in a multicultural environment.

Responsabilités

• Design, conduct and analyze experiments and results.
• Perform post-plating characterization and report results.
• Coordinate development work with imec fab and pilot line.
• Contribute to technology transfers with external partners.
• Interface with integration engineers and partner companies.
• Take inquiries from customers and follow up.
• Summarize information for partner companies.
• Report work to internal and external partners.
