IMEC in Leuven, Belgium seeks a Pilot Line Process Engineer for Atomic Layer Deposition to qualify, optimize, and troubleshoot semiconductor processes in 200mm and 300mm cleanrooms. You will lead process/tool qualification, monitor stability, and drive improvements with a proactive, cross-functional team.

The role requires a Master in Science or Engineering, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication. Fluency in English is essential in our international setting.

Responsabilités

• Daily follow-up of process and tool qualification, stability, improvements and problem prevention.
• Troubleshoots issues and enables first/second line support to escalate.
• Investigates recurring issues focusing on root cause analysis and durable solutions.
• Maintains quality and reproducibility by monitoring stability and handling process fluctuations.
• Designs experimental plans, executes in cleanroom, analyzes data, and documents results.
• Collaborates with researchers, hardware engineers, operators, and process experts across functions.
• Works in a two-shifts system (Early/Late) including 1 weekend out of 4.

Pilot Line Process Engineer – Atomic Layer Deposition

Ensuring robust semiconductor processes through qualification, optimization, and root cause problem-solving in both 200mm and 300mm cleanrooms.

The Pilot Line Engineer is responsible for:

• Daily follow-up of process & tool qualification, stability, improvements and problem prevention.
• Troubleshoots issues related to the processing and enables first and second line trouble shooters to step up.
• Investigates recurring issues, focusing on root cause analysis and structural solutions.
• Keeps focus on quality and reproducibility, monitoring stability and taking actions in case of process fluctuations.
• Designs experimental plans and executes them in the cleanroom, performing data analysis and taking care of reporting and documentation.
• Works in a dynamic multidisciplinary and multicultural environment in close cooperation with researchers, hardware engineers, operations, industry assignees, device and process experts.
• Works in a two-shifts system (Early/Late) including 1weekend (Sa/Su) out of 4.
