SABCA Group in Brussels is looking for a Quality Control Inspector CMM to ensure aeronautical parts and assemblies meet technical, quality, and customer requirements.

You will perform dimensional and 3D inspections using CMM and conventional tools, prepare parts, develop or adapt CMM programs, and ensure traceability in SAP.

The role emphasizes rigorous self-checks, reporting non-conformities, and contributing to First Article Inspection dossiers while complying with EN9100 and ISO 14001.

Qualifications

• Technical background in mechanics, aeronautics, quality, or metrology.
• Experience in industrial and aerospace quality inspection required.
• Experience with advanced CMM systems and related training/qualification required.

Mission:

Your main mission as a Quality Control Inspector CMM is to ensure that aeronautical parts, subassemblies, and assemblies comply with all applicable technical, quality, and customer requirements.

Within the scope of their qualifications and authorizations, the Quality Control Inspector CMM performs documentation, visual, dimensional, and three-dimensional (CMM) inspections, while ensuring the validation and traceability of the results.

In this way, they contribute to maintaining product quality and supporting the release of products to the next stages of the production process.

Responsabilities:

• Selecting and using appropriate measuring equipment
• Performing dimensional inspections using conventional measuring tools or CMM equipment
• Preparing and positioning parts for three-dimensional inspections
• Executing CMM programs in accordance with applicable procedures
• Analyzing measurement results and assessing their conformity
• Generating and reviewing inspection reports
• Developing, adapting, or validating CMM programs and measurement strategies (for specifically qualified employees)
• Ensuring the traceability of inspections performed in accordance with the company’s quality processes
• Completing quality documentation and records
• Recording and validating inspection results
• Monitoring and validating operations in SAP according to authorization level
• Verifying consistency between applicable requirements and obtained results
• Participating in the preparation and/or validation of FAI (First Article Inspection) dossiers
• Ensuring the availability and reliability of evidence associated with completed inspections
• Verifying and confirming inspection results
• Securing the product in accordance with applicable procedures
• Documenting non-conformities in a factual and accurate manner
• Ensuring the traceability of deviations
• Informing the relevant stakeholders and departments
• Contributing to the analysis and resolution of non-conformities within the scope of responsibility

You are also responsible for:

• Ensuring compliance with the EN9100 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental standard
• Performing rigorous self-checks to guarantee the quality and conformity of the work
• Transferring your skills and knowledge to new team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and mutual support
• Managing confidential data and situations
• Complying with safety, health, and environmental rules
• Reporting risks and applying procedures to prevent incidents

Profile:

Education / Experience:

• Education:You have a technical background in mechanics, aeronautics, quality, or metrology, or equivalent experience
• Desired experience:You have experience in industrial and/or aerospace quality inspection. Experience with advanced CMM systems as well as specific training and/or qualification in this field is required

• IT skills:You have basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, SAP, Word) You are able to work with 3D software such as Catia
