Novartis Puurs site is seeking a QC Lead Chemistry to lead a high-performing team and ensure robust analytical standards across our operations. You will drive quality culture, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration to support timely testing, release, and launches of medicines for patients worldwide.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a scientific field, at least five years in a regulated pharmaceutical quality environment, and strong GMP/GLP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field).
• Minimum five years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry within a regulated quality environment.
• Strong knowledge of GMP and GLP requirements.
• Proven people leadership experience with coaching and developing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

Responsabilités

• Lead Quality Control Chemistry operations, ensuring compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice standards.
• Ensure timely testing and release support for incoming samples and laboratory activities.
• Develop, coach, and inspire team members to achieve high performance and continuous growth.
• Drive a strong quality culture and promote Novartis Values and Behaviors across the team.
• Oversee budget planning, resource allocation, and financial performance within the department.
• Maintain audit readiness and lead responses to inspections, deviations, and corrective actions.
• Champion laboratory safety, environmental responsibility, and compliance with Health, Safety and Environment guidelines.
• Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and support successful new product launches.
