We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our international team and contribute to ensuring the quality, reliability, and continuous improvement of information systems and digital solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Information Systems (IS) quality control and assurance procedures.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive quality assurance plans aligned with project objectives, standards, and organisational requirements.
- Contribute to the definition and monitoring of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to quality and service performance.
- Conduct quality control and evaluation activities through audits, process reviews, assessments, and metric analysis.
- Ensure information systems and digital solutions adhere to defined quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare quality studies, quality assessments, and other quality-related deliverables associated with digital solutions.
- Define, manage, and report on all aspects of quality testing, including test strategies, test plans, execution, and results.
- Coordinate test campaigns and ensure effective collaboration between testing, development, business, and project teams.
- Provide recommendations and guidance on quality improvements across the software development lifecycle.
- Champion recognised quality and process improvement practices such as ISO 9001 and CMMI.
- Analyse defect metrics, quality indicators, and trends to identify root causes and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Work closely with development teams to implement corrective and preventive actions and improve software quality.
- Manage and mitigate quality risks by maintaining a quality risk register and collaborating with project managers to prioritise fixes and preventive actions.
- Apply risk-based testing principles to prioritise testing activities according to potential business impact.
- Monitor quality status, testing progress, risks, and key quality indicators and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare clear and structured quality reports and recommendations for technical and management audiences.
- Support the continuous improvement of quality assurance processes, testing methodologies, and software delivery practices.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements):
- Professional experience in software quality assurance and quality control, preferably within information systems and digital solutions environments.
- Knowledge of a broad range of testing technologies, tools, and techniques, including Selenium, Postman, Jira, equivalence partitioning, and boundary value analysis.
- Good knowledge of Information Systems quality assurance and quality control practices.
- Experience implementing and auditing quality procedures and standard based on frameworks such as ISO 9001 or CMMI.
- Good understanding of the Information Systems lifecycle and its implications for quality management and testing.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, particularly Agile.
- Knowledge and experience with Test Management and Defect Tracking tools.
- Experience managing test data in environments using relational databases.
- Understanding of risk-based testing methodologies and their application to prioritise testing activities based on potential business impact.
- Knowledge of performance and load testing concepts and tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Good understanding of software testing strategies, test planning, defect management, quality metrics, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to analyse defect metrics and quality trends and translate findings into practical improvement actions.
- Strong ability to prepare clear, structured, and comprehensive quality and testing reports.
- Ability to communicate test strategy, quality risks, and quality status effectively to testers, developers, project managers, and senior management, adapting the level of detail and terminology to the audience.
- Ability to deliver executive-level presentations and confidently defend quality recommendations.
- Strong commitment to maintaining high quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies used in application development and testing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to participate in multilingual meetings.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of French would be considered an additional asset.
- Results-oriented mindset, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
Minimum level of expertise: Junior.
Mandatory: ISTQB Foundation Level certification or an equivalent qualification.
Optional: One of the following or an equivalent certification: ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager or ITIL 4 Foundation.
