Smarterminds in Belgium seeks a Quality Assurance Coordinator to ensure quality across projects, bids, and departments in the defence, security and aerospace sector. You influence through collaboration, bringing experts together to meet deadlines and standards.

You will align QA with Projects, Bids, R&D, Production, Procurement and Logistics, review quality in tenders, allocate auditors, and handle audits, non-conformities and customer escalations while driving KPIs and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Quality Assurance/Management in project-driven, regulated sectors (aerospace, defence, energy or similar).
• Experience in cross-functional or multi-site quality coordination.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 / EN 9100 and Lean, Six Sigma or FMEA.
• Familiar with project and bid processes, QMS tools (e.g. SAP QM) and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Ability to influence without authority and communicate with technical, management and customer audiences.
• Fluent French and English; EU nationality required; based in Belgium or willing to relocate.

Smarterminds is hiring a Quality Assurance Coordinator for a global technology leader in the defence, security and aerospace sector, with more than 1,000 people across several sites in Belgium.

You will be the go-to person who keeps quality consistent across projects, commercial bids and departments. You won't manage a team directly; you will lead through influence, bringing the right experts in at the right moment.

What you will do

• Align Quality, Projects, Bids, R&D, Production, Procurement and Logistics, and resolve conflicts on deadlines, standards and customer requirements

About you

• Minimim of 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance / Management in project-driven, regulated sectors (aerospace, defence, energy or similar)

• Solid knowledge of ISO 9001 / EN 9100 and Lean, Six Sigma or FMEA
• Familiar with project and bid processes, QMS tools (e.g. SAP QM) and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau)
