Ayesa Digital in Brussels, Belgium, is seeking a QA Tester to join our international team and ensure the quality, reliability, and fitness for purpose of software solutions through systematic testing and effective defect management. You will define test plans, create test cases, execute manual and UAT testing, and collaborate with developers and analysts to reproduce and resolve defects.

English is required; knowledge of French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing and QA, including manual and automated testing.
• Experience with TestRail or Zephyr Scale.
• Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Experience executing functional, regression and UAT testing.
• Understanding of defect lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of manual test design techniques including equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, state transition, and exploratory testing.
• Ability to write SQL queries for data validation.
• Excellent written communication and ability to work in multilingual teams.

We are looking for a QA Tester to join our international team and contribute to ensuring the quality, reliability, and fitness for purpose of software solutions through systematic testing and effective defect management.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Analyse business and technical requirements to identify test conditions and establish clear acceptance criteria.
• Design and develop test scenarios and test scripts covering functional and non-functional requirements.
• Execute manual functional, regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
• Coordinate and support different types of testing, including integration, security, load, and performance testing.
• Verify that completed software features meet specified requirements and are fit for purpose.
• Prepare and manage test data, including data preparation and validation using relational databases.
• Capture and maintain appropriate test evidence, including screenshots, logs, and other supporting information.
• Identify, document, classify, and track software defects throughout the complete bug lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers and business analysts to reproduce, isolate, analyse, and resolve defects.
• Ensure clear communication and appropriate follow-up throughout the defect management process.
• Execute tests across different environments and applications and report deviations from expected results.
• Report and communicate test results through structured reports and dashboards.
• Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of regression test suites.
• Apply appropriate manual test design techniques, including equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, state transition, and exploratory testing.
• Support the continuous improvement of QA processes, testing practices, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with international and multicultural development and business teams to ensure software quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements):

• Professional experience with software testing and quality assurance, including manual and automated testing environments.
• Experience using test management tools such as TestRail or Zephyr Scale.
• Experience with defect tracking and management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Experience executing functional, regression, and UAT testing, including capturing evidence and reproducing defects.
• Understanding of defect management concepts, including severity, priority, workflow states, and defect lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of manual test design techniques, including equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, state transition, and exploratory testing.
• Good understanding of acceptance criteria and their application when designing test cases.
• Experience preparing test data, preferably using SQL databases.
• Ability to write basic SQL queries for data validation and test data setup in relational databases.
• Experience reporting test results through dashboards and structured reporting tools.
• Experience contributing to the maintenance and continuous improvement of regression test suites.
• Knowledge of both manual and automated testing tools and methodologies.
• Ability to analyse requirements and translate them into clear, structured, and comprehensive test cases.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies, defects, and potential quality risks.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, structured, and comprehensive test reports.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new applications, tools, technologies, and working environments.
• Ability to work effectively within international and multicultural teams.
• Ability to self-start and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and squads.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to participate in multilingual meetings.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of French would be considered an additional asset.
• Results-oriented mindset, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality software solutions.

Minimum level of expertise: Junior.

Optional: One of the following or an equivalent certification: ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL), ISTQB Agile Tester, or ISTQB Mobile Application Tester.
