Job summary

Altia in Brussels is seeking a QA Tester to join a European IT consulting team working on international projects. You will design test plans, develop test cases, and script tests to ensure software quality across web and API interfaces.

You will execute functional, integration, security, load and performance tests, report results, and help improve automation within CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with developers and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• University degree at EQF Level 7 (Master's degree or equivalent).
• English C1 level and French A2 level.
• ISTQB certification (CTFL/ Agile Tester) desirable.

Minimum Requirements

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for designing test plans, test cases, scenarios and scripts.
• Executing and coordinating functional, integration, security, load and performance testing.
• Reporting test results.
• Managing and improving test automation.
• Analysing requirements.
• Reproducing and managing defects.
• Defining quality-control procedures, SLAs and KPIs.
• Collaborating with development and business teams to drive quality improvements.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of professional IT experience.
• Web test automation using Selenium, Java and TestNG, including integration of test suites in CI/CD pipelines, especially Jenkins.
• API testing with Postman/Newman, JavaScript scripting, environment management, authentication, response validation and CI/CD automation.
• Functional, regression, UAT, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Defect management and evidence capture, using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Manual test-design techniques, acceptance criteria, test-data preparation and validation, including basic SQL queries, quality metrics and dashboards.

Education

• University degree at EQF Level 7 (Master's degree or equivalent).
• English at minimum C1 level and French at minimum A2 level.
• ISTQB certification (CTFL, Agile Tester or Mobile Application Tester) is desirable.
