Job summary

Protection International (PI) in Brussels is seeking a mission-driven Protection Officer to join our Global Team. You will support Protect-EU activities, lead the WP3 e-learning administration and facilitate capacity-building workshops for CSOs and HRDs across Europe.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, capacity development, and civic space monitoring, with a strong focus on practical solutions, data handling, and inter-agency collaboration.

Qualifications

• University degree in social sciences or related field.
• Training in Human Rights Defenders or humanitarian work is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in protection for CSOs/HRDs.
• Strong understanding of civil society dynamics.
• Experience with adult learning and capacity-building methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead WP3 e-learning administration and facilitation (Deliverable D3.4).
• Identify, invite and support participants for courses and workshops.
• Organize end-to-end administration of e-learning platform and language modules.
• Design, organize and facilitate webinars on HRD protection topics.
• Monitor progress, follow up with inactive users and verify completion of modules.
• Coordinate in-person capacity-building workshops and ensure logistics.
