Job summary

Pauwels Consulting in Belgium is seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead strategic procurement and commercial management of outsourced project services, ensuring quality, risk control and cost efficiency.

You will develop category and sourcing strategies, guide negotiations, strengthen supplier relationships, and monitor performance and budgets, while implementing process improvements and automation where possible.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of procurement, commercial management, or contract management experience.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills; ability to manage complex projects autonomously.
• Credible relationship builder with effective cross-team communication.
• Fluent in English and Dutch; professional knowledge of French.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category, tender, and sourcing strategies for various outsourced project services.
• Provide commercial guidance to stakeholders throughout the supplier selection and negotiation process.
• Build effective supplier relationships and monitor performance, budgets, and deliverables.
• Identify and manage commercial, contractual, and operational risks with clear mitigation measures.
• Ensure accurate contract implementation and follow-up within ERP and reporting systems.
• Drive process improvements through data analysis, standardization, and practical automation solutions.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to achieve an optimal balance between service, risk, and cost.
