Job summary

Pauwels Consulting is seeking a procurement professional to lead strategic procurement and commercial management of high-value outsourced project activities in Belgium. You will bridge internal stakeholders and suppliers to optimize quality, risk control, and cost-efficiency.

With a Master’s degree and 3+ years in procurement or contract management, you’ll guide negotiations, manage supplier performance, and drive automation through ERP systems and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement, commercial management, or contract management.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to handle complex projects autonomously.
• Credible relationship builder with effective communication across technical and business teams.
• Fluent in English and Dutch with professional knowledge of French.
• Nice to have: experience with public procurement, project management, or supplier performance management.
• Nice to have: reporting and practical automation using Excel or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category, tender, and sourcing strategies for outsourced project services.
• Provide commercial guidance to stakeholders during supplier selection and negotiations.
• Build strong supplier relationships and monitor performance, budgets, and deliverables.
• Identify and manage commercial, contractual, and operational risks with clear mitigations.
• Ensure accurate contract implementation and follow-up in ERP and reporting systems.
• Drive process improvements through data analysis, standardization, and practical automation.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration balancing service, risk, and cost.
