Job summary

Jan De Nul Group is seeking a Project Leader for Foundation Techniques to oversee major foundation projects across Belgium. You will lead planning, budgeting, supplier relations and site execution with a strong focus on safety and quality.

The role requires independence and a broad technical remit on challenging sites. The ideal candidate is a Civil or Industrial Engineer with 10+ years in a similar role, excellent communication, and commercial acumen.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in a similar position.
• Affinity with soil mechanics and foundation engineering.
• Organisational talent with a high degree of independence.
• Good communication and commercial skills.

Responsibilities

• Organise, plan and coordinate projects in terms of technology, administration and budget.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors and maintain relations with the client and other parties involved.
• Control and monitor the execution of works on site.
• Ensure permanent follow-up of site managers and intervene on technical problems.
• Evaluate and report on project progress and communicate with the Ostend office.
• Ensure safety, quality and environment on site.

Since 2015, NV Algemene Ondernemingen SOETAERT has been part of Jan De Nul Group. Soetaert carries out all possible foundation techniques, both for buildings and infrastructure works.
