Qualifications

• Relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• 4+ years construction experience.
• Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations and practices.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Responsabilités

• Maintain close relationships with business teams to implement the Group Safety Management System.
• Participate in appointing competent safety personnel and coordinate training needs.
• Ensure risk assessment processes are established for production, approval, communication, implementation and monitoring.
• Monitor procedures for lifting operations, temporary works, inductions, fire and emergencies, permits and other safety procedures.
• Participate in setting up and maintaining safety committees.
• Ensure risks to third parties/contractors are understood and actioned.
• Contribute ideas to develop the Group Safety Management System.
• Maintain knowledge of health and safety matters relevant to the works and liaise with safety managers and trade associations.
• Ensure accident/incident investigations identify causes and preventive actions.
• Provide reports on health & safety performance to managers.
• Communicate effectively with all levels within the construction industry community.
• Maintain relationships with directors and project teams.
• Promote health and safety abilities to staff and customers.
