Vulcain Engineering is seeking an HSE Site Manager to lead health, safety and environment activities for a major industrial renewable energy facility in Belgium. You will implement and enforce the HSE strategy across construction and commissioning, work with construction teams and contractors, and ensure high safety performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Safety Engineering or related discipline.
• ≥10 years of experience in HSE roles within industrial construction projects.
• Proven experience on large construction sites with contractor safety activities.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and permit-to-work systems.
• Experience with audits, incident investigations and corrective actions.

Responsabilités

• Deploy and maintain the HSE strategy across all construction and commissioning activities.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and safety observations for compliance.
• Participate in risk assessments, JSA, and safety reviews for critical activities.
• Monitor safe working practices and site HSE procedures.
• Manage and verify permit-to-work processes and contractor co-activity control.
• Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor HSE performance indicators and follow up on action plans.
• Provide HSE coaching to construction teams and contractors.
• Promote proactive safety culture and continuous improvement.
• Prepare HSE reports and communicate performance to stakeholders.
