VERDON is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to coordinate engineering activities across EPC projects in various sectors, ensuring quality, schedule adherence and budget compliance.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage design deliverables, and coordinate with procurement, construction, and suppliers to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years in a Project Engineering Manager or similar on EPC projects.
• Proven experience delivering complex industrial projects.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate engineering disciplines (piping, structural, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, and MEP).
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination meetings and manage technical interfaces.
• Define and monitor engineering schedules, milestones and deliverables; ensure CAD/BIM quality.
• Manage costs, resources and risk; participate in cost estimation and risk reviews.
• Provide technical support to site teams; lead discussions with suppliers and subcontractors.

Description du poste

As a Project Engineering Manager, you are the technical reference point and coordinator of engineering activities on EPC projects in the data center, industrial, energy, chemical, pharmaceutical, and oil & gas sectors.

As a true technical conductor, you ensure the integration of the various engineering disciplines throughout the project lifecycle, from design studies through site execution. You are responsible for the quality of the proposed solutions, compliance with budgets and schedules, and effective coordination between engineering teams, procurement, construction, suppliers, and external partners.

Your Responsibilities

Technical Coordination and Leadership :

• Coordinate engineering disciplines: piping, structural, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, and MEP.
• Ensure alignment between engineering, construction, procurement teams, and external partners.
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination meetings and manage project technical interfaces.
• Provide solutions to technical issues encountered during project execution.

Engineering Studies and Deliverables Management :

• Define and monitor engineering schedules, milestones, and priorities.
• Ensure the quality and compliance of engineering and CAD/BIM deliverables.
• Oversee the production and validation of 3D models, general arrangement drawings, isometrics, structural drawings, electrical and instrumentation documents, calculation notes, and technical specifications.
• Manage document control processes and design changes.

Cost and Risk Management :

• Manage project engineering resources and budgets.
• Monitor the productivity of internal and external teams.
• Identify technical risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Participate in cost estimation and risk assessment activities with project teams.

Supplier Relations and Construction Support :

• Lead technical discussions with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Conduct technical evaluations and contribute to supplier selection processes.
• Participate in constructability reviews and Design-to-Build initiatives.
• Provide technical support to site teams regarding technical clarifications, RFIs, design adaptations, and problem resolution.

Team Management :

• Organize and coordinate the activities of engineering and CAD teams.
• Ensure the quality, consistency, and timely delivery of project outputs.
• Maintain smooth communication between local and offshore teams.

Desired Profile

• Degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Engineering Manager, Senior Project Engineer, or in a similar role on EPC projects.
• Proven experience delivering complex industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of piping, structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
• Proficiency in CAD/BIM processes and 3D modelling environments.
• Experience with prefabrication and modularization is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in planning tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent.
• Fluent English is essential, French nice to have
