Group-IPS in Belgium is seeking an Engineer Coordinator to lead the engineering team across civil, utilities, process, and design disciplines. You will coordinate from concept design to detailed development, organize staff allocations and ensure deliverables align with project timelines.

You bring a civil or industrial engineering degree, 8+ years in technical projects, and strong English with French or Dutch.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English; French or Dutch is a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in technical projects.
• 3+ years in a similar role with engineering management, BIM, Process Engineering.

Now, we are looking for a Engineer Coordinator in Belgium ( Nivelles/Mechelen)

With a strong multidisciplinary experience in industrial environments, you will be able to lead the engineering team on projects. Your relevant experience will allow you to coordinate the full process, from concept design to detailed development.

What is the role About?

Preparation and managing the engineering coordination toolkit (list of deliverables, staff planning, project/process description, conceptual lay-out, equipment list, process block diagrams…) in collaboration with the project manager, the process engineer and/or the Industry Expert: Technical Engineering Manager.

• Redefinition of the methodology.
• Organize systematically the interdisciplinary checkpoints between the different engineering disciplines (Civil & Structures, Utilities, Process, HVAC, Mechanical & Piping, E&I)
• Manage the spatial coordination on the project lay-out and the 3D models, in strong collaboration with the Draft & Design team.
• Technical Documentation and Technical Background.
• Organization of the staff allocation of lead engineers and expert back-office support
• Supervise the quality, level of detail and the compliance to the contractual agreement with our customers
• Follow-up the design change management and the design review cycle
• Report to the project manager and the engineering manager (IBUM) with regards to progress, risks and profitability of the engineering team. Understand all the disciplines to be coordinating.

Requirements

• Civil or Industrial engineering degree
• Passioned about the technical aspects on projects, push to deliver high quality but understand aspect of project management as well.
• Fluent in English+French/Dutch. Knowledge in any other language is a plus.
• More than 8 years of experience in Technical projects.
• At least, 3 years with a similar role with experience in Engineering management, BIM, Process Engineering.
• Team player, with leadership skills
• You are mobile, willing to travel for short term activities
• You are rigorous, anticipative and stress resistant, with good communication skills
• You have basic knowledge of the design workflows for each engineering discipline to evaluate if when the right data is available to engage a next step in the design phase.
• You are a driver, capable of motivating the team to respect and achieve the deadlines.
• Flexible, you are capable to adapt and streamline the design process in line with the changes occurring during a project lifecycle
• Innovator, you are open to new ideas/developments and wishes to drive them.
• Software knowledge:
• Microsoft Office.
• Basic knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD and REVIT
• More detailed knowledge regrading calculation software’s and/or 3D coordination software’s is a plus!
